U:Tunes (VAS Retailing)
U:Tunes allows Telco Distribution Network (Retailers) to (a) collect Postpaid Bills and (b) Sell a wide variety of Value Added Services (VAS)

U:Tunes as an extension to U:Choose and U:Trust
If an operator is already using Utiba’s Electronic topup platform (U:Choose) or Utiba’s MCommerce platform (U:Trust). In other words if the Retailer/customer already has a ‘Stock Wallet’ or ‘E-Wallet’ on a Utiba platform, then U:Tunes can become a simple extension to this.
Retailer/Customer can now use the Same ‘Stock Wallet’ or ‘E-Wallet’ to buy or sell (a)prepaid topup, (b)postpaid bills (c)other VAS services, etc


U:Tunes Standalone
If an operator is NOT using U:Choose or U:Trsut(in other words there is no ‘stock’ or ‘E-Wallet’) but still wants to be able to sell VAS, U:Tunes can be implemented to deduct the charge from the IN. In this kind of an implementation U:Tunes works like a VAS ‘Charging Gateway’

Benefits of VAS Retailing
1. Retail channels are lower cost then selling VAS through Traditional Means
- Print and Television is costly
- SMS Blasts are in intrusive and irritating

2. VAS Retailing uses massive Retailer networks
- Dealers earn commission
- can influence sale to customer
- New customer can be upsold from a top up

3. Real Increase in ARPU - Telco Customer Typically has 2 ‘Wallets’ – Talktime & Physical Cash
- He converts Cash to Talktime (by purchasing Reload) according to a set behaviour
- Airtime wallets tend to have a fixed consumer budget
- VAS Retailing targets the physical cash wallet and do not cannibalise the Airtime wallet

4. Ability to Sell VAS to Mobile Users of other Operators
- Some VAS services (example: Wi-Fi Hotspot PINs, Ringtones, SMS Alerts, etc) can be sold to Any Mobile user irrespective of which operator they belong to.
- This enables the operator to reach a wider target market for some of their VAS services
